The technical staff of the national under-23 football team, led by coach Omar Najhi, announced the final squad that will face the upcoming challenges, with 23 players called up to represent "Al-Nashama" during the preparatory camp in Qatar, ahead of participation in the Asian Cup finals hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The selected squad includes a mix of rising talents and key players, namely: Abdulrahman Suleiman, Murad Al-Falouji, Salama Salman, Ali Hajbi, Mohammad Al-Shatti, Jaafar Samara, Arafat Al-Hajj, Ahmad Ayman, Mohammad Taha, Ayham Al-Samamara, Ahmad Al-Maghribi, Abdullah Al-Munais, Saleh Freij, Hashem Al-Mubaidin, Saif Suleiman, Youssef Qashi, Ouda Al-Fakhouri, Moamen Al-Saket, Mahmoud Dhib, Amin Al-Shnaina, Anas Al-Khub, Khaldoun Sabra, and Bakr Kalbouna.
The delegation is scheduled to depart for Doha tomorrow morning to begin the training camp, which will include two high-level benchmark matches against Japan and Uzbekistan.
Both matches are set to take place "behind closed doors," away from the media and fans, to ensure maximum focus for the technical staff in testing their strategies without revealing their plans to the opponents.
The Jordanian squad enters the Asian finals for the seventh time in history, starting its campaign against Vietnam, followed by a clash with host Saudi Arabia, before concluding the group stage with a match against Kyrgyzstan. According to the tournament format, the top two teams from each group (out of 16 teams divided into four groups) advance to the knockout stages.
This intensive preparation reflects the Jordan Football Association's commitment to providing full support to the Olympic team, aiming to achieve outstanding results in this important continental competition and to pave the way for these stars to become a key feeder for the senior national team on its journey to global stages.
