Video Shows Mohamed Sobhi Angry Mohamed Sobhi: "Some people never change, no matter how hard you try."
A video clip of the Egyptian actor Mohamed Sobhi went viral in the past few hours, sparking widespread debate on social media, showing him scolding his driver for being late as he left the Opera House after being honored at the "Afaaq Theatre Festival."
The crowding and cheers of fans surrounding Sobhi to take photos caused him stress, as he could not reach his car easily, prompting him to get angry and ask the driver to hand over the car keys so he could drive it himself for a short distance to escape the crowd, while the elderly driver ran after him, which drew widespread criticism.
Sobhi did not comment directly on the incident, but later wrote on his official Facebook account: "Despite all the fresh water that the sky pours into the sea, it remains salty, so do not exhaust yourself.. Some people never change, no matter how hard you try."
Opinions were divided, with some seeing Sobhi's reaction as natural after a long day amid an excited crowd and heavy congestion, while others argued that the artist could have handled the situation more calmly, emphasizing that the main reason for the congestion was the fans’ rush, not the driver’s fault.
Some noted that an exit for a star of Sobhi's stature requires better organization to avoid such situations, which led some voices to place the blame on the event organizers rather than the actor or the driver.
Mohamed Sobhi was recently honored by the "Arab Creators Union" in cooperation with the "Arab Journalists Union" at the "Sinbel City" theater, where he was awarded the Medal of Excellence in Cultural Creativity and honorary membership of the union under the UN affiliation, in recognition of his artistic career and ongoing efforts to promote meaningful art and raise social awareness through a humanitarian artistic message.
