More than 180,000 tickets were sold. The film achieved significant revenues on its first day of screening.

Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority Chairman, Advisor Turki Al Sheikh, revealed that the film “The Seven Dogs” has achieved a new milestone in Egyptian cinema history after breaking the record for the highest single-day box office gross, previously held by the film “Barshama” starring Hesham Maged.

Al Sheikh explained that the film recorded massive revenues on its first official screening day in Egyptian cinemas, coinciding with the first day of Eid al-Adha, surpassing 25.2 million Egyptian pounds in just one day, along with more than 180,000 tickets sold—a figure he described as exceptional.

He shared the details on his official Facebook account, expressing his great happiness, saying: “On the first day of Eid al-Adha and the first official screening day in Egypt, the film ‘The Seven Dogs’ achieved more than 25.2 million pounds in revenue, with over 180,000 tickets sold in one day, breaking the previous record in Egyptian cinema history… a record… praise be to God… and more to come.”

The success coincided with the film’s premiere in Cairo, attended by Turki Al Sheikh alongside numerous Arab and international stars, attracting wide media and public attention.

“The Seven Dogs” is considered one of the largest Arab film productions, with a budget of around 40 million dollars, combining action, suspense, and high-level visual production.

The film is written by Turki Al Sheikh and features a large cast of Arab and international actors.

The story follows Interpol agent “Khaled Al-Azazi,” who is forced to cooperate with “Ghali Abu Dawood,” a member of the “Seven Dogs” gang, on a mission to combat drug trafficking, which escalates into a series of intense chases and complex confrontations.
