Just days before its theatrical release, the final poster of actress Nelly Karim's film "Al-Qisas" sparked frustration among some of the cast members, due to the arrangement of the actors' names and the amount of space allocated to each of them on the promotional artwork.

According to circulating reports, some of the film’s stars, including Amir El Masry, Karim Kassem, and Sherif El Desouky, expressed reservations about the final design of the promotional artwork, arguing that the order in which the characters appeared did not reflect the significance of their roles in the film. This reportedly prompted the production company to open discussions with the cast regarding possible modifications before the official release.

A movie poster is often considered the audience’s first window into a film’s atmosphere and characters, which is why its details attract considerable attention from filmmakers, particularly when it comes to the placement of stars’ names and how they are presented to the public.

"Al-Qisas" is scheduled to premiere in Egyptian cinemas on June 17, before expanding to several Arab countries starting June 18 as part of a broad distribution strategy aimed at reaching a large audience of cinema lovers across the region.

The controversy comes as moviegoers eagerly await the film’s release, amid expectations of strong competition at the box office, especially given the significant attention generated by its promotional campaign since the announcement of its release date.
