Zarqa Governorate witnessed a tragic incident at dawn on Saturday that claimed the life of a young man in his twenties after he was stabbed during a altercation that broke out between him and another person, according to the Public Security Directorate, amid questions about the motives behind it.

The Public Security Directorate spokesperson stated that the young man was rushed to a hospital after sustaining a stab wound to his left shoulder as a result of a dispute with another person. However, he later passed away due to his injuries despite medical efforts to save him.

He added that security agencies immediately launched investigations into the circumstances of the incident and were able to identify the suspect, who had left the scene shortly after the incident occurred.

The spokesperson further noted that search and investigation teams continued their efforts to track down the suspect before successfully locating and arresting him within a short period of time.

The Public Security Directorate confirmed that investigations with the detained suspect have begun to determine the details and circumstances of the incident, ahead of completing the necessary legal procedures and referring the case to the competent judicial authorities.
