Youssef admitted that he had planned in advance to get rid of his classmate, Mohamed Youssef used artificial intelligence to carry out his actions

The trial session of the 14-year-old Youssef on Tuesday revealed shocking details about the case of his classmate Mohamed's death. The accused admitted to his actions, indicating prior planning and preparation for the incident weeks before it occurred.

During the trial, Youssef explained that he used various tools during the incident, and witnesses described some of his actions as shocking. The accused remained noticeably calm throughout the session, according to the victim’s lawyer and several attendees.

Use of Artificial Intelligence and the Dark Web

The victim’s lawyer, Mohamed El-Gablawy, revealed that Youssef had prepared his plan months before the incident and had used the AI application ChatGPT to get information on how to handle the aftermath. Evidence also showed communication between Youssef and a foreign individual via the dark web, including messages and photos related to the case.

El-Gablawy indicated that the investigation would expand to study these conversations, which could reveal more details about the case, noting that the foreign individual might have had a role in encouraging or participating in the actions.

The Accused’s Behavior After the Incident

According to the lawyer, Youssef kept photos to boast about what happened. The accused’s father is currently in custody to assist with investigations, after it was found that he helped manage the aftermath and gave Youssef money to buy supplies to hide evidence.

Medical Examination to Verify the Accused’s Age

The court ordered a medical examination to verify Youssef’s age, after prosecutors noted that his height and physique did not match his registered age of 14 years and 8 months. This will result in his trial being held before the juvenile court instead of the criminal court, as criminal court trials require the accused to be over 15 years old.

In October, security authorities found Mohamed’s body near a popular mall in Ismailia, starting investigations that later revealed Youssef’s involvement in the house, sparking widespread reactions in Egypt.
