Adel Imam’s name circulated widely on social media and topped search trends, after reports claimed he had suffered a sudden health issue that required hospitalization at a major Cairo hospital.

Ashraf Zaki, head of the Acting Syndicate, appeared to refute these claims, stressing that the veteran actor is in stable health and remains at his home.

Zaki emphasized in press statements that the esteemed actor enjoys good health and spends his time with his children and grandchildren at home, clarifying that the circulating reports are baseless.

He warned media outlets and social media users against spreading inaccurate news, noting that such actions could result in legal accountability.

Imam has avoided public appearances for nearly five years, choosing to dedicate himself to his family life. His limited appearances in 2025 included rare occasions, most notably a family photo shared by his son Mohamed Imam during the celebration of his nephew Adel’s engagement, a moment that returned the veteran actor to public attention.

Mohamed Imam posted on Facebook a photo of the family at home, featuring the couple “Adel and Farida” with Adel Imam seated in the center, accompanied by his eldest grandson and his wife—an exceptional sight over the past five years.

The actor reappeared again through a photo shared by journalist Akram Al-Saadni, capturing a calm family setting and accompanied by the caption: “We missed you, Leader,” which sparked widespread interaction and nostalgia across social media platforms.

This appearance followed a period of speculation about Adel Imam’s health, particularly regarding Alzheimer’s. Journalist Akram Al-Saadni denied these claims, confirming his personal contact with the actor and documenting the veteran’s memories in the history of art.
