Rapid Spread of “Offensive” Leaks Involving Sherine Abdel-Wahab’s Brother “The person responsible for the leaks is the young man who managed her accounts”

In recent hours, audio recordings leaked on WhatsApp featuring Sherine Abdel-Wahab’s brother, in which he reportedly insults her, sparking widespread controversy on social media over the reasons for the leaks and who is behind them.

For his part, Yasser Qantoush, Sherine Abdel-Wahab’s lawyer, denied any involvement of her brother, Mohamed Abdel-Wahab, in the leaks. He confirmed that the person responsible for leaking the audios is the young man who managed the artist’s social media accounts and took control of them. Qantoush explained that the Public Prosecution issued an urgent trial order against him yesterday after he attempted to profit from the accounts.

Threat of Legal Action

The lawyer emphasized that legal measures will be taken against anyone proven to be involved in these leaks, stressing that this behavior constitutes slander and defamation against the artist, and no one attempting to harm her will escape legal consequences.

In a related context, Qantoush previously announced legal action against owners of certain social media pages who published offensive photos of Sherine Abdel-Wahab in an inappropriate manner, which upset the artist and affected her psychological state. He explained that appearing in such images damages her reputation and disturbs her family, and that the artist decided to take legal action to protect herself and hold the offenders accountable.

Qantoush said: "Sherine Abdel-Wahab is going through a difficult crisis, which worsened when she saw these images published on social media. Therefore, the artist insists on taking all legal measures against anyone attempting to harm her, to preserve her reputation and dignity."
