Mimi Gamal: “I Play a Leading Role Alongside Hend Sabry” Hend Sabry: “I Have No Connection to the Exclusion”

The name of Egyptian actress Mimi Gamal has dominated news sites and social media platforms in recent hours after she expressed her strong anger over her photo being excluded from the official poster of the series “Manna’a”, in which she stars alongside Hend Sabry, scheduled to air in the upcoming Ramadan season.

Mimi Gamal said: “I was surprised that my photo was removed from the official poster of ‘Manna’a’. How can they exclude me when I play a main role in the series? I play a leading role with Hend Sabry—why isn’t my photo on the poster?”

Hend Sabry: “I Am Not Involved”

For her part, Hend Sabry confirmed that she has no connection to the exclusion of Mimi’s photo from the poster, emphasizing that such decisions are purely the production’s responsibility. She also reached out to Mimi to understand the details of the issue. Hend said in a press statement: “Mimi Gamal is a great artist; her name should appear before mine. The idea of her not appearing on the official poster is strictly a production matter. I am just an actress and have nothing to do with this.”

The series “Manna’a” stars: Hend Sabry, Mimi Gamal, Riyad Al-Khouli, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Mohamed Anwar, Khaled Selim, Karim Qassem, and is directed by Hussein Al-Monbawi. It is expected to attract wide viewership during the Ramadan season.
