In a tragic incident, a wedding that was supposed to mark the beginning of a life filled with joy and happiness turned into a heartbreaking funeral in Minya Governorate in Upper Egypt, after a painful traffic accident claimed the lives of the bride and groom and two other people on Thursday evening.

According to details reported by Egyptian media, a car overturned in Beni Mazar district, north of Minya, while carrying the newlyweds on their way to their new home, along with the bride’s sister and another person. The accident resulted in the immediate death of the bride and her sister due to severe injuries, while the groom and the driver were seriously injured.

The groom later dies

The injured were transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary medical treatment, while the bodies of the two victims were taken to the morgue under the supervision of the competent authorities. An official report was filed and the Public Prosecution was notified to begin an investigation.

However, the tragedy did not end there, as the groom passed away after arriving at the hospital due to his critical injuries, completing a heartbreaking scene that turned a night of celebration into an unforgettable night of sorrow.
