"Khaled Agag Reveals the Hardest Decision of His Life After Losing His Dog “Diesel

Egyptian actor Khaled Agag revealed one of the toughest experiences of his life when he had to make the difficult decision to end the suffering of his beloved dog, Diesel, who had been by his side for more than fourteen years, after being diagnosed with cancer and losing his sight.
Agag spoke candidly about the deep bond he shared with Diesel during a television interview, saying: "Diesel is my dog. He lived with me for 14 years, traveled with me, waited for me… we shared many moments, like a human and an animal living together."
"Euthanasia" But fate was crueler when Diesel’s health deteriorated, leaving Agag with the hardest decision of his life. He added with sadness: "I had to perform euthanasia to relieve his suffering, but I regret it… even though he’s at peace, that moment was extremely difficult."
After losing Diesel, Khaled turned his grief into an act of compassion by caring for cats in his residential complex, seeing them as an essential part of the environment that must be protected. He said: "These cats come up to me. I try to neuter them so they don’t overpopulate and cause problems, but I don’t kill them or abandon them."
"Animals just need a little kindness" He spoke about how he transformed from someone who didn’t care for cats into someone who makes it a point to feed them every day, saying: "At first, I wasn’t fond of cats, but when I saw them running after me and waiting for me, I started bringing them food while I walk, and they became part of my daily life."
Even while traveling outside Egypt, he maintained this habit, emphasizing that animals only need a little affection: "All they ask for is to be patted and given water… they won’t harm you in any way."
Khaled Agag concluded his interview with a heartfelt message about mercy and humane treatment of animals: "They are nations like us; God created them. Of course, accidents happen between humans and animals, but that doesn’t mean we should harm them. There are other solutions… mercy is more important than anything."
