Syrian actor Zinat Qudsiya was transferred to a hospital following a sudden health issue, according to informed sources, with no further details disclosed.

The Syrian Artists’ Syndicate – Damascus branch posted a statement on its Facebook account expressing solidarity with Qudsiya and wishing him a speedy recovery.

The statement read: “Our heartfelt wishes for a swift recovery to our esteemed colleague, the veteran actor Zinat Qudsiya, after suffering a severe health episode that required hospitalization. Get well soon, God willing.”

Qudsiya, of Palestinian origin and born January 1, 1948, in Haifa, is considered a pioneer of monodrama theater, with a career filled with distinguished works that have left a lasting mark on Arab theater.

In the 1980s, Qudsiya formed a prominent theatrical duo with the late writer Mamdouh Adwan, producing artistic and intellectual works that became a phenomenon, notable for their unique theatrical style and creative personality.
