With great appreciation and pride, Lebanon is set to issue a special postage stamp on Wednesday to honor the late musician Ziad Rahbani, following the approval of Minister of Telecommunications Charbel Hajj to officially release it for circulation.

The stamp features four unique images documenting the most important stages of Rahbani’s artistic journey, from his bright beginnings to his latest works, with each image serving as a window into a rich creative journey encompassing music, theater, and innovation.

A Well-Deserved Tribute

Fans of the artist warmly welcomed this tribute, considering it a rightful recognition of his contributions that form an integral part of Lebanese culture. The stamp will officially begin circulating tomorrow, adding a new chapter to Lebanon’s artistic heritage.

The four images highlight Rahbani’s diverse career, showcasing his continuous artistic evolution and his creativity that influenced generations and inspired lovers of Lebanese art.

This tribute comes just months after his passing on July 26, reaffirming his position as an unforgettable musical and theatrical icon.

The issuance of the stamp coincides with another cultural milestone: the Lebanese government, led by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, announced the renaming of the “Hafez al-Assad” highway, stretching from Beirut International Airport to Selim Salam Tunnel, to bear the name of Ziad Rahbani, honoring his rich artistic legacy and his role in enriching modern Lebanese music.
