The organizing committee of the 2025 Arab Cup decided to cancel the press conference that was scheduled after the end of the match between the UAE national team and its Saudi counterpart, following the issuance of an official decision to cancel the match itself and not complete it; due to severe weather conditions and the continued heavy rainfall that flooded the stadium.

This measure came after the refereeing and supervisory teams were unable to give the green light for the players’ return, as the technical committee deemed that the condition of the field had become a real danger to the safety of the participants after the water level exceeded the permissible limits.

Accordingly, holding media sessions with the coaches was disregarded, as the match was not completed technically for analysis, and efforts were focused on ensuring the safe departure of the delegations from the stadium.

It is noted that this match represented a contest for the "bronze" position, after a remarkable journey for both teams in Qatari territory.

It is expected that further clarifications will be issued by the International Football Federation (FIFA) and the organizing committee to determine the final ranking for the third place, whether by sharing the medal or setting a new date for a replay, which will be announced in the coming hours after coordination with both teams’ management.
