The Egyptian lyricist and composer Amr Mostafa announced the end of his long-standing dispute with singer Tamer Ashour, following more than two years of tensions that began over the song “El Rak Ala El Nia” in 2023.

The period saw heightened friction between the two after Mostafa accused Ashour of using one of his melodies without permission, describing the situation as a “collapse in the Egyptian music industry.”

Ashour, meanwhile, clarified that he was unaware the melody belonged to Mostafa and requested his rights through legal channels, before the matter later developed into a reconciliation that included Ashour visiting Mostafa’s home to check on his health during a period of illness.

He added that the coming period will see artistic collaborations with top music stars, including Mohamed Mounir, Samira Said, and Mohamed Hamaki, with a focus on supporting new talent.

Mostafa also expressed his joy at being honored at the ceremony, noting that he dedicated his award to Amr Diab in appreciation of his contribution to his latest album. He also confirmed that the idea to feature “Jana Amr Diab” in the music video for the song “Khatfouni” was his own, contributing to millions of views and drawing significant attention to the song.
