Kuwaiti artist Shujoun Al-Hajri was devastated by the death of her father, Matar Al-Hajri, after a long struggle with illness and the deterioration of his health over the past period.

Shujoun posted a heartfelt obituary on her official Instagram account, saying: “Indeed, we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return… The heart grieves and the eye sheds tears, and we say only what pleases Allah… My beloved father, Matar Al-Hajri, has passed away, may Allah have mercy on him,” praying for his mercy and forgiveness.

Her father had recently been hospitalized following a decline in his health after a series of consecutive medical crises. The photos Shujoun shared showed him lying in a hospital bed connected to medical devices and a ventilator, while she asked her followers to pray for his recovery at the time.

Details of Matar Al-Hajri’s health condition

Matar Al-Hajri suffered from several age-related illnesses, which led to multiple hospitalizations during July and September. In July, his condition sharply deteriorated after entering a coma described as critical, before he improved somewhat thanks to intensive medical care.
