The identity of the suspects is shocking… New details emerge in the murder case of artist Diala Al-Wadi

The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced on Monday the arrest of those involved in the murder of artist Diala Salhi Al-Wadi, whose body was found inside her home in the upscale Al-Maliki neighborhood of Damascus, less than 24 hours after the incident occurred.
The Criminal Investigation Branch stated that immediately after receiving the report, they began investigations, collecting evidence from the crime scene and reviewing footage from surrounding surveillance cameras, which helped quickly identify and apprehend the suspects.
Cleaning Worker’s Involvement
In a statement, Damascus Internal Security Chief Brigadier General Osama Mohammad Khair Atkeh revealed the involvement of a cleaning worker employed by the victim, who admitted to coordinating with another individual to carry out the crime for the purpose of robbery.
The general confirmed that the suspects have been detained, with investigations ongoing to complete the details before referring them to the competent judicial authorities.
"Syrian Artists" Union Mourns Diala Al-Wadi
Meanwhile, the Syrian Artists Syndicate in Damascus mourned the late artist Diala Al-Wadi, noting that her death resulted from an armed robbery inside her home.
Distinguished Artistic Career and Prominent Cultural Presence
Diala Al-Wadi held both British and Iraqi nationalities. She was the daughter of the late Iraqi musician Salhi Al-Wadi, founder of the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus and the Syrian National Symphony Orchestra. Her late mother, Cynthia, was one of the institute’s most prominent instructors.
Strong Artistic Presence
The late artist was known for her solid presence in theater and television, despite her limited media appearances. She graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus in 1986 and lived in Syria for many years, making a significant contribution to the artistic and cultural scene.
