Egyptian actress Wafaa Amer shared details of her experience in following up on the health condition of young football player Ibrahim Sheka, whose case sparked wide interaction on social media. She confirmed that she came to know him through journalists on social media and reached out to him directly after verifying his medical documents.

Wafaa denied all allegations that targeted her reputation, particularly those related to “organ trafficking,” stressing that she was careful from the very beginning to collect documents and verify the medical condition before taking any action.

She explained that she began following the case on October 31, and personally met Sheka at the beginning of the same month, documenting the visit with photos and conversations. She also requested all his medical records and sent them to a relative in the United States for thorough review.

The results of the examinations revealed that the case required an urgent gastric bypass surgery, which prompted her to act immediately to provide support and medical coordination. She also noted that Sheka had undergone two surgeries before her involvement, but she personally attended the most recent procedure related to the bypass.

“I keep a record of every step in this journey” Wafaa affirmed that she retains all documents, conversations, and videos documenting every step of the journey, stressing that everything is recorded in sound, images, and chat messages. She also categorically denied any rumors of unusual wounds or suspicions of organ theft, clarifying that the scar was clearly the result of surgery and had been examined by doctors during her documented visits to the clinic.
