The Juvenile Court in October upheld the ruling against the son of Egyptian actor Mohamed Ramadan, ordering him to be placed in a care home, despite having reconciled with the child he assaulted at the “New Giza” club.

The actor’s son was absent from the session on Tuesday, September 9, where the court rejected the appeal submitted by his defense and confirmed the validity of the previous ruling.

Ruling issued in absentia

The initial decision had been issued in absentia, before the defense filed an appeal, with the court today reaffirming the need to implement the judgment.

This ruling comes despite the assaulted child’s family confirming that reconciliation had been completed during the previous session, which was attended by Mohamed Ramadan alongside his son.

Mohamed Ramadan’s son’s lawyer, Ahmed El-Gendy, explained that the child’s family attended the session seeking financial compensation, confirming that his client is now required to comply with the court’s order. He added that the appeal was filed to suspend execution and that they have the right to request a retrial due to the nature of the ruling being issued in absentia.
