The Egyptian actress Maryam Amer Monib mourned her fiancé, the young artist Amr Mamdouh Setin, expressing her deep shock in a heartfelt post on Facebook. She wrote: “Indeed, to God we belong and to Him we shall return. My beloved and fiancé, Amr Mamdouh Setin, has passed away—my whole life and everything I had.”

Maryam revealed that the funeral prayer will be held on Wednesday after the noon prayer at Al-Shorta Mosque in Sheikh Zayed, with burial to follow at the family cemetery on the Wahat Road in 6th of October City.

A heartfelt prayer She accompanied her obituary with a sincere prayer for her late fiancé, asking God to grant him vast mercy, fill his grave with light and peace, and reunite them in Paradise. She also called on her followers to pray for his soul’s forgiveness and mercy.

The story of their engagement It is worth noting that Maryam Amer Monib announced her engagement to Amr Mamdouh Setin in 2021 during a simple family gathering in El Gouna, attended by relatives and close friends. His sudden passing caused great sorrow in the artistic community. Among those who mourned him was singer Mahmoud El Esseily, who wrote on Facebook: “My brother and friend Amr Setin has passed away. Please pray for him to be granted mercy and forgiveness. There is no power nor strength except through God. Indeed, to God we belong and to Him we shall return.”

A promising artistic journey cut short The late artist had launched his first album titled “Mosafir” (“Traveler”), featuring ten songs in collaboration with prominent lyricists and composers including Amir Teima, Mohamed Refai, Rami Gamal, and Abeer Ezzaz, along with Tamer Ali and Medhat El Far. The album was musically arranged by Tameem, with sound engineering supervised by Mohamed Sakr.

He also filmed a music video for the song “Agmal Haga” (“The Most Beautiful Thing”) in Beirut, directed by Mohamed Gomaa. The video gained notable success when aired on several satellite channels. Sadly, his artistic career was cut short by his untimely passing, leaving behind a profound void among his loved ones and fellow artists.
