On Wednesday, popular singer Diyaa Ezz El-Din tragically passed away while undergoing heart catheterization surgery at the Heart Institute, leaving his family and fans in shock.

A close friend revealed the cause of death via his official Facebook account, stating: “My brother and dear friend, the kind artist Diyaa Ezz El-Din, passed away during a heart catheterization procedure. There is no power nor strength except with God, the Most High, the Great. We belong to God and to Him we shall return. I truly find no words to express this loss. He was a wonderful brother and friend. May God grant us all a good ending, Amen.”

The Artistic House for Folkloric and Dance Arts mourned the late singer in a statement published on their Facebook page. The statement read: “The workers at the Artistic House for Folkloric and Dance Arts, led by artist Tamer Abdel Moneim, mourn the singer and star of the Angham Al-Shabab troupe, Diyaa Ezz El-Din. May God receive him with His generous forgiveness and vast mercy.”

Tamer Abdel Moneim expressed his condolences on Facebook, writing: “With deep sorrow and grief, I mourn my colleague, singer Diyaa Ezz El-Din of the Angham Al-Shabab troupe at the Artistic House for Folkloric and Dance Arts, who passed away shortly ago. May the deceased rest in peace, and may his family have patience and solace. We belong to God and to Him we shall return. My sincere condolences.”

The funeral procession for Diyaa Ezz El-Din took place on Thursday after the noon prayer at Sayeda Nafisa Mosque, attended by artists and close acquaintances.
