A message of gratitude from Ziad Barji after the conclusion of his brother’s funeral

In a moment where loss mingled with presence, Lebanese artist Ziad Barji extended a heartfelt message of thanks and gratitude to everyone who stood by his side and comforted him during the passing of his late brother, Mohammad Hosni Barji, following the conclusion of the two-day mourning ceremonies held in Beirut.
On his official account on the platform "X," Barji wrote moving words: "From the bottom of my heart, I extend thanks and gratitude to every person who stood by me in this difficult time, and to everyone who shared my pain over the loss of my brother Mohammad — from the world of art, journalism, official, political and security entities, friends, and loved ones, whether in attendance, through messages, calls, or social media. God willing, we will only share joyful moments from now on."
The mourning ceremonies, held at the Association for Specialization and Scientific Guidance — Al-Ramlah Al-Bayda, on July 14 and 15, brought together prominent artistic figures from Lebanon and the Arab world in a scene filled with sympathy and human support. Cameras captured the presence of many artists, including Nassif Zeytoun, Wael Jassar, Daniela Rahma, Assi El Helani, Bassam Magna, Mohammad Al Ahmad, Rabiaa Al Zayat and her husband Zahi Wahbi, among others.
Deep sorrow Barji had earlier mourned his late brother with brief but profound words, posting the obituary alongside a succinct message: "My dear brother Mohammad has passed away," an announcement overshadowed by silence and grief.
Stars of the artistic scene were quick to offer condolences, with singer Nancy Ajram commenting on Barji’s post: "A great loss! May God give you patience, Ziad, and your family, and have mercy on Mohammad."
Despite the pain, Barji’s words carried hope for future joyful gatherings, seeking to transform the loss into a call for life and human connection.
