Roumi Al-Qahtani, Miss Saudi Arabia and one of the Gulf’s most prominent young faces in beauty and fashion, has topped search engines in recent hours after announcing a severe facial injury that may hinder her participation in the "Miss Woman International" pageant, scheduled to be held in Tenerife, Spain, this coming September.

"A deep cut on her face"

Roumi Al-Qahtani revealed on her official Instagram account a photo showing a deep cut on her forehead between her eyebrows, explaining that it resulted from an accident she suffered three months ago. In a heartfelt caption, she wrote: "The cut is right in the middle of my face, and it still won’t heal... Mom says it’s the evil eye." She added, "I’ve been exhausted; for three months I didn’t speak or record videos. I was posting old videos so no one would notice... but after this cut, I realized it really is the evil eye."

Al-Qahtani noted that the wound persists as the pageant date approaches, expressing her shock and emotional distress: "Now the Miss Woman competition in Spain is near, and the wound hasn’t healed, and the truth about the evil eye changed my thinking."

The "Miss Woman" pageant is one of the prestigious international beauty events, gathering contestants from around the world to celebrate women’s beauty, cultural diversity, and creative talents.

The competition includes fashion and artistic shows, photo shoots, meetings with beauty experts, along with personal development activities and tours exploring the tourist landmarks surrounding the event location.
