Shock after the sudden death of Mohamed El Gendy Kareem Mahgoub mourns his “school friend” and “fellow artistic journey companion”

The young Egyptian actor Mohamed Hassan El Gendy has passed away in a sudden death that caused a wave of sadness among his colleagues and fans, especially as he was considered one of the promising young talents who had a notable presence in several theatre, television, and cinema works in recent years.

Actor Kareem Mahgoub announced the news of his death through his official Facebook account, expressing his shock and deep sorrow over the loss of his school friend and fellow artistic journey companion, a news that quickly spread widely across the artistic community.

Mohamed Hassan El Gendy is considered one of the young actors who managed to stand out despite having a limited number of roles. His work spanned theatre, television, and cinema, where he attracted attention through his strong presence and his ability to perform historical and dramatic roles with precision.

His career began on the theatre stage, where he participated in several notable productions that showcased his talent, including the play “The Night of Che Guevara’s Assassination” in 2015 and “The Righteous Ones” in 2016, both of which carried political and historical themes.

In television drama, he appeared in several popular works, including the series “Al Qeisar” in 2016 alongside actor Youssef El Sherif, and later “Shakket Faisal” in 2019 with Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, which helped strengthen his presence among audiences.

His last cinematic appearance was in the film “The Treasure 2: Love and Destiny,” released in 2019 and directed by Sherif Arafa. In the film, he portrayed the late Egyptian President Mohamed Anwar El Sadat, a performance that received praise from viewers due to the significance of the historical character he embodied.
