WhatsApp has announced, within the iOS beta version (26.13.10.70), a new feature that allows channel admins to reply to specific updates within the channel history, enabling them to add additional context, provide follow-up information, or answer followers’ questions in a more organized way.

The new feature works through a mechanism similar to replies in private chats, where channel admins can quote the original update while creating a reply, making the context clearer and communication more accurate and organized.

Through this feature, channel admins will be able to provide clarifications, corrections, or additional details related to a specific post, as well as publish follow-up updates in a connected format that makes them easier for followers to track and understand.

Through its latest updates, WhatsApp continues to gradually improve channel management tools with the aim of enhancing the publishing experience and organizing content, especially for channels that publish a large number of daily updates.

Since channel history only remains available for 30 days, some restrictions may apply when attempting to reply to older updates, according to how the feature operates.

The feature is currently available to a limited number of beta testers on Android through the Google Play Store as part of a gradual testing plan before a wider rollout in the coming period, as WhatsApp works on expanding its availability to more channel admins to improve interaction management within channels.
