Grief and shock overshadowed the people of Menoufia Governorate following the announcement of the death of Dr. Salma El-Naamani, a resident doctor in the Rheumatology, Rehabilitation, and Physical Medicine Department, after her injuries worsened as a result of a horrific accident that occurred two days ago, leaving deep sorrow and pain among relatives and colleagues.

The painful accident had claimed the life of her sister, Suhaila El-Naamani, on the first day, while Dr. Salma suffered critical injuries that required her transfer to the intensive care unit, where she remained under medical care in hopes of recovery. Meanwhile, the condition of her husband and young daughter stabilized relatively after receiving the necessary treatment.

Throughout the aftermath of the tragedy, a state of profound shock and sadness spread among the residents of Shebin El Kom and the late doctor’s colleagues, especially after news of her passing circulated following days of hope for her recovery.
