Gold prices in the Jordanian local market recorded a new decline on Tuesday morning, continuing the downward trend that began at the start of the current week, following a period during which prices witnessed a noticeable increase.
According to the official price bulletin issued by the General Syndicate of Owners of Jewelry and Goldsmith Shops, the selling price of 21-carat gold—the most sought-after by citizens—reached 88.20 dinars per gram for sale at jewelry shops, compared to 84.60 dinars per gram for buying.
The pricing also set the selling price of 24-carat gold at 100.70 dinars per gram, while the price of 18-carat gold stood at around 79 dinars per gram, and 14-carat gold at approximately 60.20 dinars per gram.
This decline comes amid fluctuations in local gold prices, influenced by global price movements and supply and demand factors in the market, following a wave of increases recorded in recent periods.
