The artist Nawal revealed that she has been considering retiring from singing as a serious option for about two years, confirming that she feels increasing exhaustion from the artistic scene.

In televised statements, Nawal said that she has not yet made her final decision, amid an internal conflict between herself and the artist within her that cannot disappear.

She explained that the team managing her social media accounts recently showed her new statistics indicating that the majority of her followers are women, which initially surprised her before turning into a source of happiness and pride.

Songs that address women

She pointed out that this seems logical, since most of her songs address women and express their different emotions — from pain, heartbreak, and disappointment, to love, joy, and sadness — stressing that being a woman helps her convey these feelings honestly, which has brought her closer to her female audience, while also expressing her happiness that these emotions reach men as well.

Regarding the circulating rumors about a dispute between her and the artist Ahlam, Nawal denied the validity of these reports, confirming that their relationship is good and free of any problems.

She added that she is always keen to maintain good relationships with all her colleagues in the artistic field, noting that what is sometimes circulated is nothing more than media speculation or unfounded rumors, and stressing that she does not know the real reason behind the persistence of such rumors.

She also indicated that she is considering limiting her singing to places where she feels comfortable and with people close to her, in addition to presenting occasional musical works if she finds an artistic project that touches her feelings and ignites her enthusiasm, noting that the artistic scene has become full of complications and pressures.

Nawal concluded her remarks by affirming her great love for her audience, pointing out that their continuous support and sincere affection are among the most important reasons that encourage her to continue to this day.
