Inas Al-Degheidy clarified the reason for canceling her wedding celebration, citing her desire to avoid online bullying and criticism.

She shared a photo with her husband on Instagram, writing: "My dear friends, I was happy to share my joy with you in a simple celebration for all of us," officially confirming her marriage.

Social media bullying

The director explained why she did not hold a large wedding, saying: "Unfortunately, this joy turned into waves of criticism and mockery on social media, and bullying over a beautiful moment in life… not to mention the intrusion from everywhere." She added: "Therefore, my husband and I decided to cancel the celebration and keep it within the family. Much love to my friends… and we’ll have a private meeting, God willing, that the envious and spiteful won’t know about."

Inas Al-Degheidy’s marriages

This is her second marriage. Her first was to Egyptian doctor Nabil Mowad, with whom she had her only daughter, Habiba. They separated after 30 years, citing marital boredom, though they remain on good terms.
