Death of Sayed Sadiq at the age of 80 Sayed Sadiq’s son announces the date and place of the condolence ceremony

The Egyptian actor Sayed Sadiq passed away on Friday at the age of 80, according to an announcement made by his son Louay on his Facebook page.

Louay mourned his late father, writing: "Indeed, to God we belong and to Him we shall return... My great father (Sayed Sadiq) has passed away. The funeral prayer will be held after Friday prayer at the Police Mosque in Sheikh Zayed. Please pray for his mercy and forgiveness."

Louay also indicated that his father's body will be buried in the family cemetery in Fayoum Governorate.

Sayed Sadiq was known for his strong presence

Born on June 18, 1945, actor Sayed Sadiq left a clear mark on Egyptian drama and cinema throughout his career with his distinctive performance and powerful presence.

The late actor played many prominent roles loved by the audience. Some of his most famous works include: The Emperor, The Claw, Inheritance of the Wind, Naji Attallah’s Squad, Departure with the Sun, Light of the Eyes, Keda Reda, Halq Housh, The Danish Experience, King of My Soul, I Will Not Live in My Father’s Robe, Agent 1001, Where Is My Heart?, Truth and Mirage, The Soothsayer, Eyes of the Hawk, Yawmiyat Wanis (Season 1), Very Chill Youth, Arrest and Delivery, and Dream of the Wayfarer.

The late actor received a special honor at the second edition of the Cairo Drama Festival held in New Alamein City two years ago, a tribute that deeply touched him.
