A Medical Error at a Private Clinic Turns into a Psychological Crisis for Actress Rahma Hassan

Rahma Hassan: "The doctor injected me with Minoxidil without my knowledge, and I reject the apology" Rahma Hassan refuses to accept the apology over the deterioration of her health and its impact on her mental state

Egyptian actress Rahma Hassan has rejected the apology issued by the private clinic accused of causing the severe deterioration of her health and significant hair loss. In an official statement posted to her Instagram account, she firmly stated that she would not accept any apology and would not forgive, describing what happened as a “complete lack of professional conscience.”

The Beginning of the Crisis: A Simple Procedure Turns Into a Nightmare

Rahma had previously shared the details of the incident, explaining that she had visited a beauty clinic in Zamalek in an effort to improve the appearance of her thin and stressed hair, despite not suffering from excessive hair loss. After undergoing full lab tests, the results confirmed that her general health was fine, except for a slight iron deficiency — a common issue that didn’t require medical intervention.

Based on those results, the attending doctor recommended a PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) session using her own blood — a widely used and safe procedure for hair stimulation. Rahma agreed without hesitation.

The Shocking Discovery: Minoxidil Injection Without Consent

However, what took place during the session was far from what had been agreed upon. Rahma says she returned home and began experiencing alarming symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, unexplained fatigue, and heaviness in the head.

Upon reviewing the session’s invoice, she was shocked to discover that the doctor had injected her with Minoxidil as part of a mesotherapy session, without informing her or obtaining her prior consent.

She added:

“I had no idea they were going to inject something like Minoxidil. If I had known, I would’ve never agreed. My hair issue was minor — now my mental state has collapsed.”

Emotional Collapse and Ongoing Impact

Rahma stated that she has not returned to the clinic since the incident, and that her trust in the clinic has been completely shattered, especially after her right to know what was being injected into her body was ignored. She also revealed that her hair is still falling out daily:

“Since that day, my hair has been falling out every single day. There’s no baby hair growing back — and if it does, it falls again right away.”

A Late Apology and a Firm Rejection

Rahma recounted that the clinic contacted her after she shared her story on Instagram, saying:

“They called me after the post. I answered because I’m a respectful person. They said ‘We’re sorry, we want you to come back, we’ll follow up tomorrow’ — all just so I wouldn’t file a complaint.”

She continued:

“They asked me why I didn’t speak up earlier. I told them I messaged them a month later, and they promised to respond — but no one ever called. The same pattern repeated. That, to me, is proof of a lack of professional integrity.”

A Firm Stand and a Warning to Clinics

Rahma made her position clear:

“I will never forgive them — neither the clinic nor the doctor responsible. I will not accept their apology because it simply won’t undo what happened, nor will it bring my hair back overnight.”

She emphasized that she wasn’t sharing her story to attack anyone, but rather to raise awareness and protect others from going through a similar experience:

“My goal isn’t to attack — I just don’t want anyone else to go through what I did. Everything will be okay, God willing. I truly hope we have qualified doctors in Egypt.”

Legal Action on the Table

In a follow-up post, Rahma pledged not to stay silent about any future medical or cosmetic harm she might face, stating clearly that she would resort to legal action if anything similar happens again:

“I will never allow something bad to happen to me from a service that’s supposed to improve my life — not ruin it.”
