Egyptian actress Badria Tolba broke her silence to clarify her position regarding a promotional advertisement she previously participated in for a weight-loss herbal product, announcing her disavowal of it and beginning legal action against the marketing manager.

Badria Tolba explained via her official Facebook account that her participation in the advertisement came after an explanation provided by the responsible party regarding the product’s ingredients and mechanism, stressing that she relied on the information given to her at the time before agreeing to appear in the campaign.

Multiple complaints

The actress added that she recently received multiple complaints from girls claiming that the product did not deliver any noticeable results, in addition to what they described as its high price, which prompted her to contact the product’s representative and relay these concerns, demanding that the advertisement be stopped immediately.

She pointed out that she had already requested the ad be removed, but that her request had not been implemented yet, noting that the promotional video is still being circulated on some platforms, which pushed her to take legal measures to protect her legal position and her artistic name.

Badria Tolba confirmed that what was promoted is a natural herbal product, stressing that she was not required to personally test it before participating in the advertisement. She also noted that the campaign was aired about a year ago and that there are no financial disputes between her and the concerned party.

On the artistic side, Badria Tolba’s latest appearance was in the series “Wa Taqabal Habib,” which aired during Ramadan 2025, alongside a number of stars. The series tells a romantic social story about sudden changes in a woman’s life after discovering her husband’s betrayal, leading her into a series of conflicts.
