1/2 chopped onion

1/2 teaspoon mixed spices

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

1 and 1/4 cups meat broth or water
