Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, the Jordan Football Association signed a cooperation agreement with the Norwegian Football Federation, in the presence of Norwegian Football Federation President Lise Klaveness. The step reflects a serious commitment to developing women’s football in the Kingdom.

The agreement comes as part of the Jordan Football Association’s efforts to strengthen international partnerships and benefit from leading global experiences, particularly in empowering women in sports and expanding female participation in football.

A project focused on capacity building and knowledge exchange The agreement falls under the “Empower Her” project, which aims to develop women’s football competencies through the exchange of technical and administrative expertise between both sides, as well as training female coaches and leaders across different regions of Jordan.

The project particularly focuses on supporting less privileged areas by providing advanced training opportunities that help discover and develop talent, thereby strengthening the presence of women’s football at the local level.

Training programs and field initiatives for girls The cooperation includes organizing specialized workshops and training courses in technical and administrative fields, in addition to holding football festivals targeting girls, with the aim of creating a safe and encouraging environment to practice the sport.

These initiatives also aim to enhance self-confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills among participants, positively contributing to the development of women’s sports in Jordan.
