According to initial information, a young man attacked his 87-year-old mother in an assault that led to her immediate death inside the home, using a gas cylinder, after believing that she was practicing witchcraft against him. This prompted an urgent security response to the scene, where a security cordon was imposed and authorities began collecting initial details.

Security forces managed to arrest the victim’s son at the scene, and he was taken for questioning to determine the circumstances of what happened, amid a state of shock that overwhelmed the villagers, who did not expect a family dispute to end in such a devastating way.
