21-Karat Gold Reaches 100.8 JD Global Fluctuations in Gold Prices

The local gold market witnessed a noticeable decline in prices, as the selling price of 21-karat gold dropped by only one dinar, reaching 100.8 JD in the second pricing issued on Wednesday, compared to 101.8 JD in the first pricing, according to the General Syndicate of Jewelry and Gold Shop Owners.

According to the bulletin, the buying price per gram reached around 96.10 JD, compared to 97.10 JD in the first pricing, reflecting a moderate downward movement in the market.

The decrease was not limited to 21-karat gold only; other purities also declined. The selling price of 24-karat gold reached 115.2 JD compared to 116.3 JD, 18-karat gold reached 89.4 JD versus 90.3 JD, and 14-karat gold reached 69.9 JD compared to 70.6 JD.

Globally, the price of gold in spot transactions dropped by more than 1%, reaching 4952.01 USD per ounce, as global markets continued to fluctuate, influenced by multiple economic factors.
