The win marked Al-Jazeera’s second triumph over Al-Ramtha in a matter of weeks, after previously defeating them in the second phase of the league, adding further pressure on their rivals in the race for the league title.

With the victory, Al-Jazeera moved up to fifth place with 26 points, level with Al-Salt, while Al-Ramtha remained in third with 35 points. Their position could be threatened if Al-Wehdat beats league leaders Al-Hussein Irbid in the round’s top clash.

Al-Ramtha began the match aggressively, testing Al-Jazeera’s defense on multiple occasions. Captain Hamza Dardour had the clearest chance early on, maneuvering past defenders into the penalty area, only to see his shot sail over the crossbar despite beating the goalkeeper.

Al-Jazeera responded decisively, with veteran Yassin Al-Bakhit opening the scoring in the 23rd minute from a direct free-kick that deceived the keeper and found the back of the net.
