According to a statement from the ministry on Thursday, received by "Roya TV," the Petra region has been selected for the implementation of this experiment, under the prevailing weather conditions, in order to evaluate the system's efficiency and effectiveness on the ground.

The experiment aims to test the system's ability to deliver alerts directly and immediately to citizens, especially in cases related to weather conditions or emergencies, based on the responsibility to ensure their safety.

Audio Alert An audio alert will accompany the messages sent to mobile phones to capture citizens’ attention and ensure immediate awareness.

The relevant authorities confirmed that the messages sent to phones are experimental and urged citizens not to worry upon receiving them, as this step is part of developing the communication and early awareness system in the Kingdom.
