Widely circulated video clips spread rapidly across social media platforms, placing astrology and horoscope expert Laila Abdel Latif at the top of the trending list on the “Google” search engine, following the circulation of statements attributed to her regarding the possibility of suspending studies in Egypt during the year 2026.

A number of activists reshared previous clips of hers, in which she presented her predictions for the most prominent events of the current year, coinciding with warnings from the Meteorological Authority about unstable weather conditions. This came alongside an official decision to suspend classes on Wednesday and Thursday.

Disruptions affecting the educational process

Abdel Latif’s predictions related to the education sector included indications of potential disruptions that could affect the continuity of the educational process in several Arab countries during 2026, attributing this to what she described as “astrological influences linked to planetary movements.”

This comes at a time when the Meteorological Authority warned of a severe weather wave including storms, rain, and dust-laden winds, prompting official bodies to take a series of precautionary measures across several sectors, most notably education, transportation, roads, and health.
