Early Career in Brazil and the U.S.

Kathlen Souza, 29, plays as a defender. She began her football journey in Brazil during her childhood with a short stint in Santos youth teams before moving to the United States. There, she studied at the University of Louisville and the University of Central Florida while continuing her football development.

She turned professional after receiving an offer from French club Bordeaux, following her performances in U.S. college matches. Souza also represented Brazil in the 2019 Women’s World Cup and later moved to Inter Milan in Italy, where she played 11 matches between 2020 and 2022.

Experience at Real Madrid

In the summer of 2022, Souza joined Spanish side Real Madrid after impressing the club’s management during her time at Inter Milan.

She played 44 matches for Real Madrid, standing out for her performances, before making the move to Al-Nassr in the summer of 2024.
