• Alwan and Al-Naimat make global list of top national team scorers of the 2020s

Jordanian football stars Ali Alwan and Yazan Al-Naimat have been included among the world’s top national team scorers for the period 2021–2025, according to the latest ranking by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS). This achievement crowns their prolific scoring careers with the “Nashama” across continental and international competitions.

Alwan claimed 12th place globally with 29 international goals, while “The Shuttle” Yazan Al-Naimat ranked 19th after scoring 26 goals during the same period.

The ranking is based solely on the number of goals players score in official international matches with their senior national teams.

Having two Jordanians in these top spots highlights the recent offensive surge in Jordanian football, showcasing the Nashama’s attacking prowess on par with leading teams in Asia and worldwide.

The goals of Alwan and Al-Naimat have contributed to key results for the national team, strengthening Jordan’s position on the international football map.

This statistical review covers the last five years (2021–2025), a period in which both players reached career highs, attracting interest from numerous Arab and international clubs due to their scoring instinct and ability to decide major matches.
