Jordan in North Africa Challenge: The Nashmiyat face Algeria in Tunisia

- The national team roster includes 23 players selected to take part in this regional challenge.
The Jordan U-20 women’s national football team will begin its campaign in the North African Women’s Union Championship when it faces Algeria at 4:30 PM on Friday at the Sousse Olympic Stadium in Tunisia.
This African tournament serves as a crucial preparatory stage for the “Nashmiyat Shabab” ahead of the bigger challenge at the upcoming AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup.
Group schedule and tight match intervals
Jordan will compete in Group B of the tournament alongside Algeria and Morocco.
The national team’s matches are scheduled as follows:
-
Jordan × Algeria: Friday, November 28 (4:30 PM Jordan time)
-
Jordan × Morocco: Sunday, November 30 (4:30 PM Jordan time)
All national team matches will be held at the Sousse Olympic Stadium.
According to the tournament format, participating teams are divided into two groups of three teams each. The top team from each group competes for the championship, the second-placed teams compete for second place, and the two third-placed teams face off for the bronze medal.
This system requires Jordan to secure points to remain competitive for the top positions.
