In a striking incident, Egyptian actress Menna Fadali filed an official police report accusing a Nigerian house worker of stealing money, jewelry, and valuable personal belongings from her home.

Fadali explained in the report that the worker, who had been employed for about 14 months, carried out the theft gradually and unnoticed, taking the stolen items in stages inside black garbage bags, while pretending she was only carrying a small personal bag.

According to the actress’s statements, the stolen items included gold jewelry belonging to her mother, such as a ring, earrings, and a necklace, in addition to luxury clothing, designer handbags, and a mobile phone she had given her to facilitate communication.

The incident began when the worker, named “Samira,” requested a two-day leave under the pretext of retrieving her passport and completing residency procedures. However, according to Fadali, she used this request to escape after asking the recruitment office to take her to a location far from her residence, before switching off her phone and blocking the actress, her mother, and the recruitment office.

“Criminal record”

In her comment, Menna Fadali expressed shock, saying she later discovered information indicating that the worker had a criminal record in her home country, despite the good treatment she received at her workplace.

The actress confirmed that she had submitted all available information to the authorities, including photos of the stolen items and a copy of the worker’s passport, expressing confidence in law enforcement’s ability to recover her rights and warning against dealing with the accused or any associated intermediaries.
