Etrii Ball… Design Inspired by Moroccan Culture
The ball, named “Etrii,” draws full inspiration from Moroccan Zellige art, known for its precise and harmonious geometric patterns, reflecting the kingdom’s rich cultural heritage. Its design features a central star inspired by the Moroccan flag, with floral shapes and circular symmetry symbolizing the unity of the 24 participating teams and the spirit of competition in Africa’s largest football stage
CAF adds that each design element carries specific cultural symbolism
- Central star: represents ambition and the pursuit of excellence
- Floral shapes: reflect celebration, growth, and the spirit of the tournament
- Circular symmetry: symbolizes unity among the teams and across the African continent
Colors and Symbolism
The ball features red and green on a white background, representing Moroccan national identity and reflecting passion, hope, and pride, emphasizing the celebratory spirit of African football
The ball’s mold is designed with a “motion flow” pattern, lines that mirror the dynamic rhythm and style of African play, giving it advanced performance suited for the highest levels of tournament competition
Debut Appearance
According to CAF, the Etrii Ball will be used for the first time in the tournament’s opening match, becoming a visual and cultural symbol representing Morocco and African football throughout the finals
