The horrific crime that occurred in the town of Naameh, in the Chouf district of Mount Lebanon, shocked the Lebanese public after two children lost their lives at the hands of a “human monster,” described by all as a brutal killer.

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces revealed in an official statement that the perpetrator – the family’s neighbor’s brother – lured the young girl and her five-year-old brother to the sea, where he assaulted the girl on a high ground near the Damour beach in the north of the town, before ending her life by striking her on the head with a large stone and hiding her body among the reeds under a pile of stones.

The statement noted that the suspect did not stop there; he also beat her brother and took him to the Naameh ferry path, where he threw him into the sea, believing he had died. However, the child survived thanks to divine intervention.

The police station received a report after finding the child with scratches and a head wound, his clothes soaked, prompting an immediate response by the security patrol. The child confirmed that the suspect was the one who took him and his sister to the sea.

The child’s testimony was taken in the presence of a child protection delegate, where he repeated his statements and confirmed the perpetrator’s identity. During a sweep of the sea and shoreline, the girl’s body was found and transferred to a local hospital after being examined by the forensic doctor and the Accident Bureau in Baabda.

In conclusion, the security forces confirmed that the suspect fully admitted to the accusations, having taken the two children to Damour beach, assaulted and killed the girl, and threw her brother into the sea.
