Famous Turkish singer Güllü, one of the leading stars of Arabesque music, has died at the age of 51 after falling from the balcony of her apartment in the Çınarcık district of Yalova Province, Turkey.

Her son, Toprak Yağız, announced her death on social media, emphasizing that rumors suggesting his mother’s death was a suicide are false. He stated, “We lost our mother in a tragic accident that occurred last night… may God have mercy on her.”

Fainted Before the Fall According to reports, Güllü fainted while sitting on the balcony of her sixth-floor apartment around 3 a.m., in the company of her daughter and a friend, before falling to the ground and dying at the scene.

Güllü’s Life and Career Güllü was born in 1973 in the Kasımpaşa neighborhood of Beyoğlu, Istanbul. She began her artistic career in 1988 at the age of fifteen and gained wide fame in the 1990s thanks to her Romanian-inspired melodies within Arabesque music.

After getting married and taking a break from performing, Güllü returned to the arts following her divorce in 2000 and continued producing artistic works. She is survived by two children.
