According to circulating reports, their relationship began as an acquaintance, developed into a close friendship, and then progressed to a serious engagement. There are talks of a wedding scheduled for October 14 at one of Cairo’s major hotels.

Despite the widespread rumors and coverage by several media outlets, Inas Al-Dagheidi has remained silent, issuing no official confirmation or denial, which has only fueled curiosity and debate among her fans and followers.

Who is Inas Al-Dagheidi? The veteran director, aged 70, was previously married to the renowned dentist Nabil Maawad, the father of her only daughter, Habiba. Their marriage lasted nearly 30 years and ended in what Al-Dagheidi described as “marital boredom.”

Born in Cairo in 1953 to a modest family, her father was a teacher of Arabic and religion. She graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema in 1975 and began her career as an assistant director on films such as Afwah wa Araneb (1977).

She directed her first film, Afwan Ayyuha al-Qanoun, in 1985, and went on to create a series of highly discussed films, including Mudhakkarat Murahiqa (2001), Woman Is Not Enough (1990), Cheap Meat, Dantela, and Estakoza.
