New details revealed after "human remains" found in American rap star's vehicle

The body was discovered inside a bag in the car’s trunk, which was impounded at a lot in Los Angeles, California, on September 8, 2025, following a report of a foul odor coming from the vehicle.
The Los Angeles Police Department stated in an official release that officers arrived at the scene at 12:20 p.m. and found possible human remains, noting that the case is currently being treated as a death investigation. The Los Angeles County coroner has not yet determined the cause of death, and the victim’s name has not been released pending family notification.
Preliminary reports describe the girl as approximately 157 centimeters tall, with wavy black hair, wearing a crop top and leggings, along with a single yellow earring and a yellow metal bracelet.
Although 20-year-old D4vd is still on tour, a spokesperson confirmed he is aware of the incident and is fully cooperating with authorities. His collaboration with the clothing brand Hollister was also terminated following the news.
The incident has not yet been officially classified as a homicide. Los Angeles Police lead investigator Alan Hamilton stated: “We know there are human remains inside the vehicle, and we will continue our investigation. If a murder is confirmed, the case will be converted into a full criminal investigation.”
The case has drawn widespread media attention due to its connection to the rising rapper D4vd, known for his R&B and alternative music. Investigations are ongoing to fully identify the victim, determine the circumstances of her death, and understand how she ended up in the rapper’s vehicle.
