  • Break-in attempt ends in unexpected trap situation
  • Rescue using specialized equipment with no injuries

In a strange and unusual incident, an attempted break-in at a medical clinic in India’s Uttar Pradesh state turned into an unexpected ordeal after a teenage boy found himself trapped in the very place he was trying to enter.

The incident took place in the Indirapuram area of Ghaziabad, specifically in the Abhay Khand neighborhood, where the boy attempted to enter a cardiologist’s clinic via the building’s rooftop in what is believed to have been a theft attempt.

However, the plan quickly fell apart when he tried to squeeze through a narrow gap between a metal shutter and a concrete wall.

During the attempt, his neck became wedged in the opening, leaving him suspended and unable to move forward or retreat.

After struggling for some time, the boy began repeatedly kicking the metal shutter in an attempt to draw attention. His efforts worked, as clinic staff heard the noise and rushed to the scene, only to be shocked by what they found.

Police were immediately informed and arrived at the location, but the complexity of the situation prevented an immediate rescue, prompting the involvement of civil defense teams. A unit from the Vaishali station arrived around 1:15 a.m. equipped with specialized tools, and carefully dismantled parts of the shutter to free him without serious injury.

Following the rescue, the boy was taken into custody and later transferred to a government hospital for treatment.

The incident sparked widespread reactions among local residents, who shared the story in disbelief, noting the irony that the attempted break-in ended with the suspect caught in his own plan.
