Two brothers die inside an agricultural pond in Karak The two brothers are 15 and 20 years old

In a painful incident witnessed in Karak Governorate on Tuesday, Civil Defense teams dealt with a scene filled with sorrow, as the death of two brothers by drowning inside an agricultural pond in Karak was announced.

According to the media spokesperson of the Public Security Directorate, in a statement received by Roya TV, specialized diving teams from the Civil Defense in Karak and Madaba responded to a report of two young men, aged 15 and 20, drowning inside an agricultural pond in the Al-Mujib area, prompting specialized teams to move immediately in an attempt to rescue them.

However, the moments of waiting ended with heartbreaking news, as the teams managed to recover the two brothers and transfer them to Princess Salma Governmental Hospital, where they were pronounced dead, amid a state of shock and grief that spread among their family and the local community.

With authorities launching an investigation into the circumstances of the incident, the Public Security Directorate renewed its warnings against approaching valleys, waterways, and agricultural ponds—especially those formed by rainwater—emphasizing that such places can quickly turn into dangerous areas that offer no mercy to those who approach them.
